June’s Explorer Box features Voltaic Drip (Watermelon Strawberry Slushie Cider) and Azul City (Paloma Gose Cider ) a collaboration cider with Talea Beer Co.

BOOK OF NOMAD | VOLTAIC DRIP
Our Summer series was inspired by childhood memories mixing and matching flavors at the slushie machines. The process began by selecting colors and flavors that would pop when consumed as a cider or frozen as a cocktail slushie. We stepped into new territory for this cider using a double layering process of both fermenting the slushie fruits and then lightly sweetening the cider post-fermentation with the same fruits again. This blending of fermented and unfermented fruit flavor is a truly unique and refreshing experience that you can enjoy all summer long!

CLOUD CITY | AZUL CITY

Azul City is Hop Blueberry Lemon Dreamsicle Cider that tastes like a blueberry creamsicle and lemon sherbert. ⁠We decided to dry hop Azul City with Mosaic Hops. The wonderful berry fruitfulness of Mosaic is complemented by a contrasting earthy, piney taste. Our thought process was that the piney / earthy taste from the hops would balance out the additional ingredients: jammy blueberry, soften bright lemony citrus, and warm vanilla, which was needed to create a "dreamiscle" like flavor.⁠
